Since 2003, we’ve used food-grade ingredients to create high-performance personal care products with clean, good-for-you formulas.

Our brand was founded by Jamyla Bennu, who started making moisture-rich products for her highly textured natural hair in 2001 - a time when nearly every ‘ethnic’ product on the market was focused on straightening or relaxing. She built our first website in 2003 and began selling the products online to other naturalistas.
